Believe it or not, going on KETO does not mean losing out on delicious keto desserts or keto treats like this. It does mean, however, using real, organic, whole ingredients as substitutes for sugar and processed sweeteners.
Keto cookies are a healthier alternative to people who are obsessed with this delightful treat. It has all the fun parts of chocolate chip cookies without the drawbacks associated with refined carbohydrate consumption.
Instead of using refined white flour (which is known to cause high blood sugar levels and increasing your risk for heart diseases), keto cookies use one of two flour alternatives: coconut or almond.
- Coconut flour is popular among low-carb enthusiasts and individuals with low gluten intolerance. Its impressive nutrition profile includes its ability to promote better digestion, blood sugar stability, heart health, and even weight loss.
- Almond flour, on the other hand, carries no fat content but still adds flavor, depth, and richness to the cookie. It is rich in protein, monounsaturated fats, and Vitamin E. Another plus: it’s also a good source of fiber. Almond flour is also better for your blood sugar since it contains magnesium, a mineral that controls your sugar levels.
Better Keto’s recipe replaces refined flour with almond flour. So you can enjoy healthier cookies, we also switched out the refined sugar with swerve sweetener — the ultimate sugar replacement.
Sugar-free Cookies are the Best
Sugar-free cookies get a bad — and wholly undeserved — reputation because of the perception that they wouldn’t taste quite as good without such a critical ingredient.
On the contrary, sugar cookies are just as delicious as traditional cookies. The only discernible difference you’ll notice when eating them is that your conscience won’t be heavy with guilt from enjoying an unhealthy snack. These healthy cookies use natural sweeteners, such as agave syrup, raw honey, and fruit purees (which are low in fructose, a type of sugar that can lead to Type II Diabetes, obesity, and cancer if consumed in excess), to satisfy any sweet tooth.
Switching to sugar-free ketogenic cookies also means you can watch your weight and still indulge in a treat now and then. Sugary cookies fill you up without giving you any nutritional value. When you go for healthier keto cookies, your body benefits from the ingestion of foods with a significantly higher vitamin content, including folate, riboflavin, and vitamins B1, B3, and B5.
Give in to your sweet craving without breaking your diet or going above recommended sugar levels by baking healthy ketogenic cookies.
